You have to buy a laptop from the source to get the mail in rebate. The source doesn’t say it on their website, but when u check it in-store, it has a pasted note on the box of the software. sucks

That’s quite unfair. It doesn’t mention that anywhere on their website. It might be possible to get them to honour if they were shown the website. Maybe by speaking to a manager.

You would think more than a few people have ordered online by now and they would have fixed the problem if that’s the case.

My apologies for posting it.

Does anyone have a copy of this form? I am having a hard time finding it on the McAfee Website - or even just the offer code? Thanks.

I purchased a Compaq laptop and also the McAfee Total Protection 3 sw for $70.00, on the understanding that a rebate would be forthcoming from McAfee. After more than 8 weeks, nothing has happened, and I can’t trace the application on the McAfee website. It’s beginning to smell like a scam!

Rebates can take even longer than 8 weeks to be received unfortunately. I’m closing in on 2 months for a rebate I recently sent in as well.

You might want to try contacting The Source and or McAfee to see the status of your rebate. Usually, they give you some sort of tracking number.

Where do I send my mail in rebate to?
it says on the McAfee box that details will be printed at the time of purchase. I bought this at the source on Verdun in MontreaL along with a computer that is french (it would have to be reconfigured by a professional. they did not tell me that either) and now they don’t answer the phone. They neglected to give me the mail in rebate instructions!Big surprise. and I am leaving for los angeles. Can anyone help me? WHERE AND WHAT DOO I MAIL IN TO GET THE SUPPOSED REFUND?

My $70 rebate W/hp compaq came back as an invalid UPC. Is this from the PC box, the Total Protect CD case, or both? computer

I bought a toshiba laptop at The Source with a posted price of $449 after a $160 in-store rebate and a $70 mail-in rebate for a total savings of $230. When I asked for the mail-in rebate form they couldn’t find it on their computer and told me it must be in the box if it isn’t there come back and we will take care of you. No form in box so I went back and they told me the rebate was only if I purchased Macafee. Nowhere did it say that on the price label. I feel totally ripped and will never spend another dime at The Source.

I bought a computer from The Source with the McAfee rebate. McAfee received my form and entered it in their tracking system Nov 30th 2010… I contacted the tracking centre to find our what was going on… they said payment should be sent out by April 6. Totally unacceptable! I guess I will see what happens in April.
