As of today, Friday, June 3rd most closing Blockbuster stores are now 50% off everything in store. I didn’t post this previously at 30% off, as most deals weren’t so great. There are actually some good deals to be had now at 50% off, if you can find what you are looking for in store.

The Details

Most everyone knows now that Blockbuster in Canada is going out of business. Some stores (a  lot of stores) are closing now, while others are still staying open for the time being.

It is possible they could go to 70% off, but there probably won’t be much of anything left by then.

My Take

This offer is available in-store only for the holiday season. It’s labeled as the 2010/2011 pack, so the coupons should be good for at least the entirety of this coming new year.

The Deal:

For $9.99 + tax, you get unlimited favouire movie rentals for a month. You can have a maximum of 1 DVD movie out a time. There are no return dates or late fees for the rental either. The offer only applies to non new release movies however.

Also, with any movie or game rental, for just $2 more you can make it a combo, adding a 590 ml Pepsi product and a single pack of popcorn.

My Take:

It’s somewhat disappointing that this doesn’t apply to new releases, but I’d imagine they’d all be rented out all the time and not returned otherwise. It’s still a good offer however, if you like to rent older releases as well.

Blockbuster Video Canada is selling the used Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess for Nintendo Wii for only $19.99. Some Blockbuster Video stores are also selling the new version of the game for $24.99. I do however strongly recommend that you give your local Blockbuster Video Canada a store a call before going there to make sure they are selling Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess for that price.

This was the first game released for the Nintendo Wii but it’s a breathe taking game to say the least. If you own a Nintendo Wii and have not tried this game yet you should! I guarantee you that you will enjoy it and have a fabulous time
