I purchased a barbeque on sale yesterday Aug11/10…known to superstore as the blowout sale. I purchased it as a gift and paid for it at the customer service counter along with a tank. The young student was more than helpful showing us where the barbeques were outside the store and brought us to customer service to pay for it. No one made any mention it was final sale on blow out merchandise. My husband is very handy and put it together that evening…upon that we found there was a part missing for the electronic ignitor. No worries I thought, called the store in the morning and spoke to Jim, could not help me, a manager by the name of Dianne was extremely rude to me on the phone and not professional at all. I was very understanding, until she told me it was final sale no returns etc…could not take a missing part from another barbeque at the store etc.
She told me to call a 1800 number and order the part. I was extremely dissapointed as we purchased the new gift for a house warming for today. My husband went to the hardware store at our cost and time and purchased a similar part to fit. Look forward to hearing from you. We are frequent shoppers at the superstore, but this experience has me doubting how wonderful the store really is!!!
