My Take

Pay close attention to the fine print here. This is quite restrictive in terms of when you can redeem your gift card and how much you have to spend to do so. Also, there are several exclusions on certain types of products.

The Odds

Approximately 160,000 Shoppers Drug Mart Surprise Gift Cards will be distributed to participating Shoppers Drug Mart stores with the following discount values available for distribution and approximate odds of savings in each category: 45 chances in 160,000 to get a $1,000 gift card, 400 chances in 160,000 to get a $100 gift card, 159,555 chances in 160,000 to get a $10 gift card. Redemption Rules

Correct answer to a mathematical skill-testing question is required before redemption is permitted with gift card denominations of $100 or $1,000. $10 gift cards are valid for only one transaction of $10 or more, before taxes and after discounts. $100 gift cards are valid for only one transaction of $100 or more, before taxes and after discounts. $1000 gift cards are loaded in-store and can be used on multiple transactions until balance is depleted. My Take

This is very restrictive in terms of the dates you can redeem and how much you must spend to use the card. If you shop at The Bay fairly often and plan on spending around $100 on several purchases, then this is worth taking advantage of.

My Take

The 10% discount for card holders is a nice bonus as always if you plan on doing some shopping at The Bay this weekend. The savings cards is also nice, but very restrictive in terms of the dates you can use it. You only have a 20 day period to redeem it in September, which forces you to shop at that time if you want to use it.

My Take:

Another good offer, but again dependent on whether you need to do any shopping at Shoppers Drug Mart and if that will be in the amount of $75 or more. The dates you can use your gift card are limited, so pay close attention. You can also enter their contest for free gas for a year. Once you have your gift card (you need the number on it) head back to the Shoppers website to enter the contest.

My Take:

A very cool offer if you need to purchase any of these participating brands. Just be aware that the gift card will come by mail and not be given at the time of purchase. Only the brands pictured above are eligible for this promotion.

My Take:

This offer was up previously, but restricted to certain provinces, however this one is nation wide. There don’t seem to be any restrictions on the Tim Horton’s card, which sometimes they do, so definitely worth a look if you like to go to Shopper’s.

My Take:

That’s $25 worth of points if you spend $75. If you frequent Shoppers Drug Mart regularly and collect points these offers can really add up. Make sure you take a look at all the exclusions before making any purchases.

This offer is only valid for the Maritimes, but I thought I’d throw this up anyways, for readers from those provinces. It’s too bad it’s not available elsewhere as this is a fun deal if you like to go to McDonald’s that is.

This is yet another bonus redemption event from Shoppers Drug Mart. The point totals are changing soon, so this is a chance to spend before the value of your points go down. My Take:

These are always great deal events, especially if you are looking to pick up something from the electronics department with a higher price tag. It’s surprising how fast tax can add up, especially when you factor in higher rates in certain provinces. If you were already planning to shop at Superstore this weekend, this is really just an added bonus.

I like these types of deals if I shop at the store in particular fairly often and am looking to spend a fair amount of money there on something I need/want soon. I find that trying to make purchases just to get at these deals usually doesn’t work out though.
