Hi Everyone!

I hope you all are doing well. I’m writing this blog to apologize for not having any videos up lately. I appreciate all the comments you’ve given me, and believe me - I’m still around and I definitely will be doing videos.

Lately, I’ve just been having so much trouble making videos *sigh*. I was going to make one today! I had it all planned out and I was ready for my big “come back”, but my computer is seriously LAGGING for some reason, and so my webcam keeps crashing! My sister has a MacBook, which I have used in the past - but because it’s not mine, I do not have access to it at anytime I want. The good news is that it is mandatory that I get a MacBook for school this coming year - so I will have a new computer coming in the next month or so. Until then, I can’t promise consistent video postings. I’m very sorry. But they will come! Do not lose your faith in me! =)

Regardless of all this, thank you all for watching, commenting & supporting Dealcetera! It’s greatly appreciated!

Now, I would still like to post something today - so I am going to. It’s just going to be in regular blog fashion, but it will have to do for now. So here’s what I had planned for my video:

First of all, I came up with a little segment I am going to start doing (hopefully) each week. I call it “Andrea’s Beauty Bargains”. Please note that they will not always be beauty related, but the majority of the time they will. Plus, “Andrea’s Beauty Bargains” has a certain ring to it!

Anyway, the idea is that each week I will go through flyers (as I normally do) and find some of the best bargains that I’m interested in and share these with you since you may be interested as well. I will then go out and purchase the items I mention - informing you of how much I have spent and saved, plus if there are any available coupons that can be used to get the items even cheaper than their sale prices!

Then I will use the products and review them, and you can decide whether you’d like to go out and purchase the items I have for the same, cheap price! In this way, there is no risk to you because I will let you know if the product… well… sucks! =)

So, without further ado - here are the beauty bargains I went out and bought today!

I bought Rimmel’s Sexy Curves Mascara (comes with bonus eyeliner!) for $4.99. Didn’t have any coupons for this one, but its a great buy because of the bonus.

Stocking up on pads!

• Kotex pads are on sale for $2.99 as well and I used a “buy one, get one free” coupon from either Smart Source or Shop & Save… I can’t remember which one, sorry!
• Selected L’Oreal products are also on sale. I got Carbon Black Voluminous Mascara for $3.99 (!) using a coupon from My L’Oreal (you must join and then you’ll be allowed access to coupons).

That’s what I’ve got for this week! It’s not too much - but I hope this helps out in some little way!

About 2 months ago, an offer was posted here on Dealcetera to receive a Burt’s Bees Essential Body Kit. I had been dying to try their products, so I thought it was a good chance to get to! All I had to do was purchase 3 Green Works All-natural products and I could get the kit absolutely FREE! Today it came in the mail, and I was so excited!

It’s a great kit with various items from Burt’s Bees (as you see in the video) - I can’t wait to try them all! Definitely a great offer.

That’s right, we have a brand new section for all of our Dealcetera readers, subscribers and members.
Introducing our Vlog - hosted by none other than Andrea.

I’m absolutely thrilled to introduce Andrea (dredudes) as our Dealcetera YouTube correspondent.

Andrea’s no stranger to Dealcetera or to YouTube.

She was our lucky winner in our very first contest. She was also our inspiration for our current contest when we received a response like none other when she took the time to feature her reward and Dealcetera in a YouTube video. And now she can call Dealcetera home as our resident vlogger.

As a YouTuber she goes by dredudes concentrating on her love for cosmetics, while expanding on deals and life’s random moments. Her videos are full of life and personality, offering tips and her perspective in a manner that’s very personable and inviting. If you haven’t checked her out, you should definitely do so.

For those unfamiliar, a vlog is a series of entries, much alike a blog, but in video form. Andrea will be keeping us all informed, right here on Dealcetera through a series of YouTube videos. After the two month period all video submissions will be narrowed down to the top ten (10) and announced on September 2nd*, 2009. All readers and members will then have a chance to vote for their favourite video between September 2nd and 9th, 2009.

Each participant must include a link to their video(s) in the comments below. Participants must also include a link back to this post in the “more info” section on YouTube.
