As some of you might have heard, Carlton Cards Canadian Club program came to an end as of February 26th, 2009. However, for those of you who have accumulated points prior to that date, you still have the opportunity to claim and redeem your Rewards Certificate(s) until May 30th, 2009. With Mother’s Day approaching on Sunday, now would be a great time to redeem and save on the purchase of a greeting card.

Thank you for your loyalty to the Carlton Cards Card Club program. The Card Club program is being redesigned to create an easier and more user-friendly experience. As a result, the current program is no longer available for use in the Carlton Cards and American Greetings stores, effective February 26, 2009.
Rewards certificates are available for members who have earned them as of February 26, 2009.
To redeem your certificate, visit your local Carlton Cards or American Greetings store. Certificates are no longer available on this website.
Certificates are valid now through May 30, 2009.
I purchased some greeting cards on 5/13/09 and was given a certificate which expired 5/30/09 but did not need any cards until June 4/09. I am disappointed there was an expiry date. I lost out on a $3.00 value.
I am very disappointed in the service at Carlton Cards….namely the Card Club Reward Certificate. I was informed that I had until May 30 to redeem my $12 certificate and when I visited the store on May 29th….they told me that I only had a $3.00 certificate and that I must have used it…which I didn’t. They could find no record of my certificate and therefore I was left without being able to use my $12 certificate. As I had accumulated these rewards, I think it was very unfair to deny me this reward. I could have easily purchased my cards elsewhere and would not have had to worry about the embarrassment of being in a card shop full of people and the clerk denying my reward certificate. All cards that I purchase are about 90% purchased at the Carleton Card shop. I was told that this had happened to a number of customers. I think reimbursement should follow.
The clerk was very polite but said there was nothing she could do because nothing was showing up on her computer.
I am not sure why i didn’t receive a notice that my point are gone. I was just look at your web site and notice that there was no long a whey to earn points…………why………….. a sad customer
I didn’t know about this and I am quite angry. I have gotten points since this ‘cutoff’ date & was never told it didn’t count any longer. I will be taking all of my business to Hallmark where I can still accumulate free cards.
