2009 - 2010 SPC Card Canada: Order Now & Double the Free Gift Cards! Receive 2X $10 GCs for Best Buy, Pizza Hut, Bluenotes, Esprit or Jean Machine

First of all, I’d like to take the time to welcome cali_tash27 to our forum! :D

Secondly, cali_tash27 has posted this awesome new deal on the forum stating the following:

Last chance to get your SPC Card mailed to your home before August 1st. Order online between July 15 and 19 and you’ll automatically receive DOUBLE the shopping cards!

Choose TWO cards from: Best Buy, Bluenotes, Esprit, Jean Machine, Pizza Hut

Thanks so much cali_tash27!

This is a hot deal even if you have no intention or aren’t eligible to use the SPC (Student Price Card).

Earlier on, SPC offered those who pre-ordered online a chance to receive their choice of 1 of 4 free shopping gift cards. And now, not only will you receive TWO free gift cards instead of one, but Pizza Hut has also been added to their list of options. Let’s not forget all of the great savings you’ll be able to take advantage of with SPC alone. :D

Note that this offer is only valid on new orders. In-store, the SPC card can be purchased for only $8.50, however, by purchasing online at $10.50 ($8.50 + $2 S&H) between now and July 19th, you’ll receive TWO $10 gift cards - $20 worth of extra savings for the price of shipping and handling. ;) Your choice of:

  • 2x Free Best Buy Gift Cards*
  • 2x Free Bluenotes Gift Cards*
  • 2x Free Esprit Gift Cards*
  • 2x Free Jean Machine Gift Cards*
  • 2x Free Pizza Hut Gift Cards*

This is where, for those who aren’t students and can’t use SPC, spending $10.50 and getting $20 back would be worth considering if you intend to shop/spend at any of those locations. :D

“Shopping Cards are available while supplies last ONLY”

does it mean that i’m not guaranteed to get the gift cards?!

MindsEye on 16 July, 2009 at 3:59 am #

Karen, I think it means that if an option runs out (ie. Pizza Hut), that you’d no longer be able to select it from the list. Otherwise, if you process your order by the 19th, whatever gift card you select as your free gift should arrive.

Last year they doubled and even tripled the free gift card offer. I decided to purchase when they had doubled the offer and received mine right away :D If only I had waited a little longer to get in on their tripled offer, lol.

Just to clarify, I believe the SPC cards bought in stores cost $10, NOT $8.50 as it says online. After shipping (which doesn’t cost them $2.00 to send a card in an envelope lets be real) your only spending $0.50 more to get the gift cards, so still a sweeet deal.

What’s the point in waiting to get the card? you’ll save a lot more than the double or even triple shopping cards if you get the card and USE IT!! The extra promos are great but i’d rather have my card for back to school shopping =)
Red Special, the cards cost $8.50 NOT $10. In stores you have to pay the tax on the card anyway but online the tax is included in the shipping and handling fee. Lets be real, cost to mail $1.05 + cost to stuff it =)

Red Special: If it were $10 in-stores, I’d be shocked again - I remember when they used to be only $7.50 + tax in stores. It may not cost them $2 in shipping, but that’s what’s stated online and I reference what I see so not to confuse anyone. If I had said S&H + tax, I’ll have readers wondering if tax will be applied afterwards. But yes, either way, still a sweet deal. :D

Tara: I totally agree with ya, for students the SPC Card is great for all of its extra savings - which is why I got in on the VIP SPC deal as I’m no longer a student. These bonuses are great, but only if a person actually shops at these locations regularly and I can see where many would still want to buy in-stores instead. :)

Last year I bought into SPC’s Double Up promotion when they had 2X Guess Gift Cards and no minimum - loved it, and I recall the entire package arriving pretty fast. So, for back-to-schoolers that are interested in this promotion, you should still have plenty of time to shop for school. :)

No. The card is $8.50 in stores, but sometimes, you can get them for only $8. I got mines last years for $8 at my middle school. It’s cheaper by $0.50, but not a lot. This year, I pre-ordered mines online. This is so sad! Cause when I ordered mines, it was only ONE free shopping card!

I stand corrected, thanks.

What school was that Lovebargains? cus the price on teh card is printed $8.50
i know they used to be $7.50 like 6 years ago… i inflation gets everything?

chocolate_flake on 16 July, 2009 at 8:41 pm #

TRIPLE the offer?
wow, mayb i should wait longer.. :O
btw, Mindseye, do you remember when they had the triple offer last yr? like in aug?

MindsEye on 16 July, 2009 at 10:06 pm #

chocolate_flake: Y’know, I had to search and nearly forgot that I posted about it last year, lol. It wasn’t actually available until late October and it was offered through Macleans. They had offered 3 gift cards, 1 of each: $10 Guess GC, $10 Esprit GC and $10 Jean Machine GC - which looking back now, wasn’t that great unless you shop at all three.

Ya the triple offer was called “stocking stuffers” and was for xmas… went through November.

I bet I saved way more than $30 just in August. I can’t even think why it would make sense to wait. It’s $8.50!!
